The German-Japanese Symposium on Electrosynthesis is a fruitful series of gatherings of the most renowned players in electrosynthesis from both countries. Established in 2010, this meeting is held every year in Japan or Germany.
Despite the need for qualified electrochemical scientists, academic research in Germany on this field has almost vanished within the last two decades. However, there is still a small but emerging electrochemical research “community” that is devoted to reanimate progress of this field in Germany.
This symposium is targeted to increase the collaboration and knowledge exchange in this highly interdisciplinary field that joins preparative-oriented organic, inorganic and physical chemists. A vivid exchange with the most powerful electrosynthesis community which is represented in Japan will be of mutual interest since the expertise is highly complementary.
Furthermore, contributors and guests from leading chemical companies will have and give the possibility to improve on the contacts between science and process development.
Among others, the following speakers will give presentations:
M. Atobe (Yokohama Nation University)
N. Aust (BASF SE)
K. Chiba (Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology)
R. Francke (Rostock University)
B. Frontana-Uribe (Universidad Nacional Autónoma dé Mexico)
T. Fuchigami (Tokyo Institute of Technology)
G. Hilt (Marburg University)
S. Inagi (Tokyo Institute of Technology)
F. Kakiuchi (Keio University)
S. Nishiyama (Keio University)
T. Nokami (Tottori University)
K. Moeller (Washington University)
G. Schmid (Siemens AG, Erlangen)
S. Suga (Okayama University)
J. Yoshida (Kyoto University)
All presentations will be held in English.
